All-on-4
All-on-4 is a method of replacing an entire upper or lower set of teeth using four dental implants to support a full-arch fixed prosthesis. The implants are positioned to maximise use of available bone, often with the rear implants angled to avoid anatomical structures, and the technique can allow for a temporary fixed bridge to be fitted the same day as implant placement in suitable cases.
Suitable candidates are typically people with failing or missing teeth who want a stable, fixed alternative to removable dentures, though careful assessment of bone quality, general health and oral hygiene is required. As with all implant treatments, there are risks such as infection, implant failure or the need for adjustments, so treatment planning, surgical skill and ongoing maintenance are important for long-term success.
