Treatment Plan

A treatment plan is a personalised roadmap created by a dental professional after a clinical examination and any necessary investigations such as X-rays or scans. It explains the recommended procedures, the reasons for each, the expected outcomes and the suggested order and timeframe for treatment so the patient understands what will happen and why.

A clear treatment plan also outlines possible risks and benefits, alternative options, and recommended follow-up or maintenance. It is discussed with the patient to support informed consent, and may be revised if new findings arise or if the patient’s needs or priorities change during care.
